Flaming Dragonfruit Mule

You know how some experiments are disasters? That's what I think about this flaming dragonfruit mule. I made it because I had the ingredients on hand. Dragonfruit. Ginger beer and absinthe. The dragonfruit clogged the straw. The flames from the absinthe are invisible due to the blinding reflection off the snow outside. However the other idea I had for a lychee martini was dead in the water after burning the lychee syrup on to the pan. Now. What can I destroy in the name of "dinner"?

Ingredients

1 Shot Absinthe
1 Dragonfruit
2 Oz White Rum
1 Lime
2 Tsp Agave Syrup
Ginger Beer
Ice
Heatproof glass
Straw.

Peel the dragonfruit and muddle in shaker. Cut the lime in half, squeeze the juice into shaker and remove remaining flesh etc with sharp knife. Add rum, agave nectar, and lime juice. Add ice to glass. Pour into glass and top with ginger beer.Gently set the half lime on top and fill with absinthe. Light absinthe on fire with a long match. When flames subside flames go out, drink through a straw. I dare you.

PS Instagram deleted my video for unauthorized use of a trademark. Funny it did not delete any photos of any of the bottles of Delirium or the Delirium bars I have visited. Maybe they were mad I wasn’t drinking Delirium. Which I should have been because this drink wasn’t worth the effort.
